There is yet another addition to the blogroll. It’s about my homie Koshin from Kung Fu class. Kosh is a second-degree blackbelt, a badass one at that. Read up on it and if it’s not updated, be patient. Patience is one of the virtues of life.
Check Out My Blogroll
February 26, 2008It’s about my good homie Gavin Keisling who is in Germany right now for a study abroad. He’s a good friend (a brother at that) and he’s got some good pics of Guinness country.
What a weekend!
February 25, 2008So this was a crazy/fun weekend filled with adventure and good times. My girlfriend and I didn’t get on the road to Page until about five-thirty or so because of work and traffic and what-not. It basically rained all the way to Flag up until Munds Park where it snowed like crazy. Traffic was backed up and my truck was putting along going about forty miles per hour. I saw some vehicles spin out and get stuck on the side of the road but the cops where quick to assist on the scene. Luckily my truck just had brand new BFG all-terrains put on so Yuke wheeled like a champ.
We didn’t get home until about 12:30 am but the weekend was great after that. Good weather, great friends, and awesome memories. My girlfriend and I helped out my mom around the house and went to see some old friends. After Church on Sunday we drove back and traffic was a breeze. Now, it’s on to the studies.
Back at it, but first, a trip home
February 22, 2008I just ordered The Official GMAT Verbal and Quantitative Review books. I figure with the class I have the concepts down, I just need some more practice with the questions themselves. I figure if I do every single question in each of the books I have, I can shoot for mid-April for the next test. I just need to find a better balance with studies, work, and definitely some Kung Fu.
I’m going to hit it hard on Monday, but first, I’m taking a surprise trip back home with my girlfriend. We are going to take in the sights in good ole’ Page, Arizona.
What a day
February 15, 2008Well V-day was yesterday and I had a great one. Work went well and things were looking up, but the best part was the evening. I took my girlfriend to King’s Fish House in the relatively new Tempe Marketplace and it was delicious. We had some good eats and then we went to watch Fool’s Gold. The night in itself seemed like any other one, but spending it with her made it extraordinary.
But anyway, back to business, now that she’s done and satisfied with her GMAT score, she’s going to be my instructor. Back to basics and back to books.
Holy Balls you’ve gotta be kidding me!
February 13, 2008So…I guess it’s back to the drawing board. After all of those hours and money spent, my score barely improved. This is pretty sad. The score on the actual test was about one-hundred and thirty points lower than my best practice test. Sigh, seriously, damn GMATs.
Happy Chinese New Year
February 10, 2008Well it’s a couple of days late, but this is the first chance I have to say it. Work has been going crazy and my GMAT studies have got me tied down like your best friend in a new relationship. But the big day is Tuesday and I can’t wait. I’m here in Vegas with my family to celebrate Chinese New Year for the weekend, but while they’re all having fun enjoying the strip, I’ll be inside the hotel studying and cramming. Oh well though, can’t wait to get it over with. Wish me luck!
Super Bowl Sunday
February 3, 2008Well the Super Bowl is here in Arizona and there have been tons of festivities and events. Not only that, but the FBR Open for the PGA Tour came to town and decided to throw it’s own party on the same weekend! Well it’s about time for kickoff but I’ve gotta get back to doing what I’ve been doing this whole time, studying. I haven’t gone to any events or stopped by the local mall I used to work at to see the ESPN analysts do their Super Bowl shows. I haven’t even seen any of it on tv. It’s just been work, sleep and study. Ten more days though, ten more days…
