Fasturtle Technologies

I just had an interview with Fasturtle Technologies today in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is a website development and SEO company. I think it went well but I’ll hear back soon. I have a couple more lined up for next week as early as Tuesday. I’ll keep the updates coming but for now, it’s back to Kung Fu, relaxation, and a little bit of GMAT studying.

The jobhunt begins!

Anyone looking for an SEO Expert? My position no longer exists in my former company. In order for me to continue to grow as a professional and for the company to maintain it’s current course, it was decided that we go our separate ways. In my mind I had tried to make it work but the happiness and passion weren’t there for my last few months. I’m sure this could be sensed by my supervisors as they had ceased the position from operating. But as I move on to a different industry, I bring on with joyful hope the growth and knowledge that will undoubtedly come now that I no longer work for my former medical company. Sweet Jesus!!!

Happy Easter

Oh what a great day of Resurrection. I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter, I sure did. I started it off with a great service at Church, then caught a little bit of the Cubs and Padres spring training game (Go Cubbies!) and finished it off playing with some 3-week old puppies. Now that is what I call relaxing. I took a quick break from the GMAT studying but will pick up shortly. 650 baby!

My Black Eye

So after a few days of no swelling or coloring, my eye decided to be noticed today.  I was in Church and I noticed people kept glancing over at me.  I was wondering what the deal was then my girlfriend told me that it has gotten worse.  That would explain a lot.  My eye feels fine but I guess it doesn’t show.

Black Belt Class

A fourth degree black belt got the best of me in sparring tonight.  I was rusty needless to say but I walked away from class with a black eye.  It was actually kind of funny.  No harsh words or anything like that were in the air.  We finished up the round and we laughed about it and I went on to go for three more rounds.  Again, needless to say, I got destroyed.  I was sparring against advanced belts for most of the night but hey, that’s the only way you get better right?

GMAT Testing

I just realized something over the weekend while I was studying with my girlfriend: I’m focusing too much on trying to do well on this dang test and not enough on the end result to get to Boulder, Colorado and pursue my MBA.   I think up until this point I’ve almost set myself up to fail.  I had such a negative experience that I’ve shaped my outcome.  With this going on I’ve focused on a negative but the only person that’s keeping me from doing well on this test and ultimately going back to school…is me.   650 Baby!!!

Wooohooo!!! Getting a new puppy

My girlfriend’s parents have two labs and one of them just had puppies last weekend!!!  Those dogs are so awesome, they were teenie and so unorthodox.  They would crawl around and since their eyes and ears are still closed, they had no idea what was going on.  It was great to see and they’ve already gotten bigger from the first day I’ve seen them.  There are nine altogether; four black and five brown and they’re coming from a golden lab, ahahahahaha.

Aside from that, studies are going well also.  The concepts are actually sticking in my head now.  I just need to get my endurance back up.  Bring it on GMAT!!!  650, here I come!
