It’s been a great weekend so far. I have just been hanging out and relaxing with no worries in the world. My puppies are great too. They come with little teeny moments of frustration, but it’s hard for me to look at them without a smile on my face. I’m going to use this post to be one of the first to say “hope you have a great Memorial Day” and remember that we’re remembering our heroes.
First Couple of Days…
May 20, 2008…have been a blast! I love my new company. Choice Hotels International has been nothing less than great so far. The people are great and the company actually cares about it’s employees. Not too shabby. I am really excited to get my feet wet and get going with some SEO stuff on the site.
Heartworm
May 19, 2008So it seems that Tanner has a small case of heartworm. I was freaked out when I heard the news but luckily, he’s feeling better and bouncing around again, acting like his old self. My relief was reassured when my girlfriend and I went back for our check-up and found out that Tanner was in the first stage of the disease and is very treatable. We have to take him back on Thursday and Friday for a series of shots and some heartworm prevention medicine. I can’t wait to have that guy back at 100%.
My pup Tanner
May 9, 2008My beagle Tanner has been feeling a bit under the weather today. He is a bit sick but the good thing is that as the day goes on, he looks better and better. My girlfriend told me he started off this morning not his usual rambunctious self. He was very slow moving and wouldn’t even finish his food. He began shaking as well. This set off a ton of red flags so I came over as soon as I could. We called our vet but they are booked all day today and tomorrow.
Luckily, Tanner is doing better now, his nose is wet, he’s starting to drink water, and he’s just resting. I spoke to a friend who was a vet tech and she said he would be ok with some rest. If he vomits or the situation isn’t better by tomorrow then we will make a call to emergency pet services for sure.
Choice Hotels International
May 4, 2008This just worked out so well. Out of all the companies I interviewed with, Choice Hotels was the one that stood out the most to me. They uphold moral values as one of their cultural work priorities which is something that is really important to me. The people I interviewed with were great, the environment was fantastic, and the office is really close to my house. I was pumped after the interview.
The following Tuesday I received a call and a spot on the marketing team. I am really excited to get this going. I start on the 19th of May and things couldn’t have worked out better. Oh and to top it off, I retook my GMAT and I did ok. I definitely did not hit the score I wanted, but I did put myself back in the race for admissions.
It’s all coming together now.
