Possibly my favorite hotel to work with is the Cambria Suites hotel. The Cambria Suites hotel is a new brand from Choice Hotels International. It was designed for business travelers with amenities such as all-suite hotel rooms, free high-speed internet, LCD flat panel screens, and large meeting areas just to name a few. Although catering to the person traveling for business reasons, The Cambria Suites hotel has something everyone can enjoy including a resort-style swimming pool and a fitness center. I can’t wait to stay at one myself. With a handful in the states already, there a few more hotels set to open up within the upcoming months. The first Cambria Suites opened up in April of 2007 and there are about 75 more contracts which have been signed to begin construction shortly if it hasn’t already for that particular city. The locations of the properties are strategically placed near local attractions such as airports or convention center buildings. If there isn’t one by you yet, keep an eye out for a Cambria Suites location near you, I know I will.
Tiger’s Got It
June 17, 2008Sorry for the long delay. I’ve been busy with the Father’s Day weekend just passing. I took a trip to Vegas and hung out there with the fam. I also took the pups and the five hour drive turned into a six-and-a-half hours but it was worth it. I enjoyed playing with the puppies in Sin City. My sister has a house in Summerlin about nine miles west of the strip so that’s where we spent about 90 percent of the time. It was a great weekend!
How about Tiger Woods though. My brother is a golf fan and he had me hooked on the U.S. Open this weekend. That guy is amazing. He finished his round with a birdie yesterday to force a playoff and after another tie today, Tiger came out on top in the first round of sudden death. Not too bad after being out for knee surgery.
My pup Tanner
May 9, 2008My beagle Tanner has been feeling a bit under the weather today. He is a bit sick but the good thing is that as the day goes on, he looks better and better. My girlfriend told me he started off this morning not his usual rambunctious self. He was very slow moving and wouldn’t even finish his food. He began shaking as well. This set off a ton of red flags so I came over as soon as I could. We called our vet but they are booked all day today and tomorrow.
Luckily, Tanner is doing better now, his nose is wet, he’s starting to drink water, and he’s just resting. I spoke to a friend who was a vet tech and she said he would be ok with some rest. If he vomits or the situation isn’t better by tomorrow then we will make a call to emergency pet services for sure.
Yahoo/PayPal vs. Google
December 12, 2007Looks like Yahoo is teaming up with PayPal to get into the checkout game with Google. Google Checkout has just recently stepped on the scene and has since been dominating stealing some of the profits from the PayPal powerhouse. PayPal has just decided to step up it’s game and team up with Yahoo on the matter. They have a Yahoo! PayPal Checkout Program which is offering free credit card processing until May 2008 for current Yahoo Pay-Per-Click Advertisers. I’m trying to talk the guys over at Allegro Medical into getting into the game. It just gives customers another checkout process that they know and love. The more options they have, the more likely they will be to buy as soon as they see something that catches their eye.
The Holidays are Coming!
November 29, 2007Well, I guess the Holidays are actually here. I’m pumped, this is my favorite time of year. I just love the feeling I get when I see see the wreaths and Christmas trees. Amidst the stress of crowds and Holiday season shopping mixed with the traffic, it’s still a good day in the end.
New Product From Allegro – Perfect Pushup Travel Edition
November 29, 2007Here is a really cool item that Allegro started selling. This product has actually been on the site for awhile but the ‘coming soon’ tag has finally been removed because the big boys at BodyRev gave us the ‘ok’ to begin selling them. The item is the Perfect Pushup Travel Edition. The Travel Edition employs the same principles associated with the original Perfect Pushup Handles but they come in a collapsible model so they can travel with you.
Perfect Pushup Travel uses the latest advances in biomechanics and engineering to give you better results faster. Each handle snaps securely into a non-slip base and stows in a zippered neoprene case that’s compact and easy to stash in your briefcase, backpack, or office drawer.
These things are great because it gives you a great workout without putting much strain on the shoulders, elbows, and wrists. It’s definitely a joint-saver. I have the original perfect pushup handles and those things are great. I can’t wait to try out the Travel Edition.

Shop by Body Part – Medical Showcase on a Snowman
November 13, 2007A programmer at Allegro Medical has just launched a pretty cool application called ‘Shop by Body Part’ which is a search page allowing users to search for items according to the area on their bodies that is giving them trouble. For example, if your left elbow is hurting, just mouse over the left arm and click on the left elbow link to see splints and straps of all types and sizes. I think it’s pretty cool. It’s also in the form of a snowman for the holiday season. Check out the Shop by Body Part page application at the Shop with Snowman page. I’m pretty sure this will change to a human later in the future but for now, it’s a good touch for the holidays.
Allegro Medical Announces Google Checkout
November 7, 2007So this is pretty cool. My company just announced an offer with Google Checkout. If any customers check out using Google Checkout on the Allegro Medical site, they get $5 off of any order of $50 or more.
I never really understood what all of the hype was with Google Checkout but it’s pretty cool. It’s a super-safe and secure check out process and if a customer has a Google account, they can just use that to process the Google Checkout order. What’s more is that users only have to put their billing and shipping info in there once for sites across the web that use Google Checkout.
